Partnering IKPAAT IGOON IZERE

APPEAL

This work of emancipation being undertaken in Izereland is both tasking and gargantuan in both human, material and other resources. Support is needed to ensure speed, quality and timeliness of delivery on milestones set. Without your support, the impact of the vision would not be felt much in Izereland and the speed of delivery would be greatly affected. As might have been noted, the challenges in Izereland requires that speed be brought to bear on delivery of qualitative and timely solutions. The necessary resources needed to adequately mobilise solutions through the projects and programmes of IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) are really in dearth. Except moral support, there has been no financial commitment from anyone. All that has been able to b e done is through the indefatigable spirit of the Founder. This is not a one man’s show or a party for a few: all heirs to the Izere heritage must see it as their duty in freeing Izereland from poverty, squalor, disease, HIV/AIDS, underdevelopment and irrelevance. We would still be less than slaves even in Nigeria until Izereland is free. And free indeed, it must be!

In the course of information dissemination, we wrongly put Lamingo in Jos East in our earlier bulletin. Lamingo is in Jos North. Many thanks especially to Itse Atsen in Bahrain and all of you for spotting that error.

MATTERS ARISING IN Project IZHAR 2010

The socio-economic milieu in Jos the Plateau state capital and indeed the entire state has elicited a rethink on some of the milestones in IZHAR 2010. The reason being that, attention has now shifted to more pressing and immediate needs of ameliorating the suffering of victims and securing what is left after the devastating after-shocks of various ethno-religious upheavals on the Plateau. Due to this unfavourable outcomes, the first quarter of 2010 would be lost as well as the following affected:

· The details of IZHAR 2010 which were expected to be debated at the 2010 Inaugural Congress of IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) shall now take place hopefully in April 2010.

· Equally, the planned mobilisation and fundraising events are affected.

· Also the inauguration of more interim officials, editorial board for the IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) Newsletter, as well as the IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) Board of Advisors would now take place in April;

· The National Plan of Action of the Interim Executive Secretary inclusive of the Quarter I training of the interim officials in the "Workings of Civil Society Organisations" would now take place in May 2010 but perhaps earlier circumstances warranting. This might also restrict the trainings to three instead of four as proposed;

· The IKPAAT IGOON IZERE(IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) budget for 2010 shall be debated and passed in April 2010;

· Inauguration of the Izere Radio Project Committee would now take place in May 2010

· Interim Officials are still required. Though gentlemen might apply (and be appointed), ladies are in dearth among the interim officials. Positions available include:

· Deputy Executive Secretary

· Interim Financial Secretary

· Auditors

· Public Affairs Secretary

· District Coordinators

· Ward Anchors

· Sector Rapporteurs (there are three sectors A, B and C)

Project IZHAR 2010

Project IZHAR 2010 is reckoned to be a watershed in the history of Izereland. It is conceived to lay a solid foundation upon which all heirs to the heritage of heritages can build their noble contributions as envisioned by the holistic development plan husbanded by IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION). This plan addresses landmarks cognisance of each quarter, month and week. As a map for IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION)'s activities in 2010, expectations are high, commitment unparallel and earnest among drivers of the vision. Antiquing cultural apathy and unveiling a renewed nationalistic mandate within heirs of the Izere heritage is a task that must be done. All core projects, focus and mobilisation strategy at IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) underpin the unparallel commitment that IZHAR 2010 brings on the noble aims and objectives that IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) has set for itself. IZHAR 2010 seeks to kindle an unquenchable flame of Izere citizenship that shall light the darkest paths of despair and lay bare the highway to Izere nationhood, socio-economic advancement and sustainable development.

Project IZHAR 2010 is a moment in history that has finally arrived where the true emancipation of Izereland is due to be delivered of the hope heirs to the heritage of heritages so much aspire, and deserve. it is that moment in history that every heir to the Izere heritage matters not a selected few purporting leadership and relevance. It is that moment in history that the silent majority takes their destiny into their own hands thereby becoming immediate beneficiaries of a new hope, dream and relevance. IZHAR 2010 is that moment in history where true leaders of the Izere nation are unveiled and the facade of pretenders to this noble endeavour dissolved. Through IZHAR 2010, IKPAAT IGOON IZERE (IZERE HERITAGE FOUNDATION) seeks to lead the future of Izereland into a more purposeful, fruitful and functional state.

The call of IZHAR 2010 is simple: "Atsor 'ibin ritsoom nawar ba!" The enemy of underdevelopment, failure, irrelevance, is within - the Izere! Yes! Whether the current effort shall subdue the unrelenting but opposing forces laying siege on the heritage is largely a function of the commitment on the table. IZHAR 2010 would seek to institutionalise community mobilisation efforts in Izere nation building within the present ever dynamic Nigerian socio-economic firmament. It is a new dawn. Project IZHAR is a clarion call for 2010 to all heirs to the Izere heritage to come and build for Izere an enduring legacy, an heritage that generations yet unborn shall not only appreciate but be enthused to build unto its sustenance their most noble efforts. Are you an Izere heir or a pretender to that throne?
